I was recently contacted by ambitious stitcher, Jean who had an idea for an amazing project that would include 55,000 cross stitches (most of which are the same DMC shade!) and benefit the awesome Guide Dogs charity.
Welcome to the first ever Caterpillar Cross Stitch 'Stitcher of the Month' competition for February 2019 where the winner will come away with a £20 gift voucher! I love this community we've built together and I want to showcase the personality and story of a special stitcher each month.
So you remember back in October 2018 when I was asking for your votes in the British Craft Awards? We only went and WON! Stitch Designer of the Year 2019 - I'm still coming back down to Earth I think!
Can you tell I love Warwickshire? Since moving here in 2012 (3 weeks after getting married) I’ve always felt so lucky to spend my time in a county so rich in culture and history. And what would Warwickshire be without Shakespeare!
I just wanted to say thank you so much for being part of the Caterpillar Cross Stitch family during 2018. I appreciate your support so much - whether that's through buying a kit, needle minder, taking part in a Stitch-a-Long or simply watching a YouTube video or joining the Facebook group.
When January comes around, it can be a wet, cold and miserable time of year... but not any more! We're all going on a summer holiday with the brand NEW 'Seas the Day' 2019 Stitch-a-Long! If you love to cross stitch we have full cross stitch kits with 15 happy shades of DMC threads and Zweigart fabrics.
Recently I was lucky enough to write a guest blog post over on Loretta's popular cross stitch site: Stitching The Night Away. When I was 21 I got the travelling bug. Bored at university and with long Summer holidays usually wasted at home, I decided to jet off with 15 strangers to Vancouver for 3 months. From there, my explorations continued with trips to Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and a 6 month work placement in Sydney.
Valentine's Day is nearly here! Another excuse for over priced flowers and commercialism? Why not stitch something special for someone you love this year with our brand new Valentine's patterns - a gift with so much love and effort makes all the difference!
