WHAT IS A STITCH-A-LONG?
Picture this: a collective of passionate stitchers, working simultaneously on a captivating design. The Enchanted Realms SAL brings together a community of over 18,000 stitchers, creating a positive space to forge new friendships and connect with like-minded individuals.
We're super proud of the wonderful, supportive community we have built together over the last 8 years. Our dedicated Facebook group has over 18,000+ friendly stitchers! The group is a positive space, perfect for making new friends and meeting people who understand your love for stitching.
Sharing photos of your stitching is highly encouraged in the group! Show off your stitching talent to people who will understand the hard work, time and effort that has gone into your art. Learn new techniques from some really experienced stitchers, and share your own tips, tricks and hacks.
There's no pressure to keep up with the SAL. Take all the time you need! The most important thing is that you enjoy the relaxing 'me-time' sensation that cross stitch brings.
Imagine a fantasy landscape featuring your favorite mythical creatures, unfolding over 6 enchanting months from January to June. Order your full kit with options for 14 or 16 count aida (perfect for beginners) or 32 count evenweave. Our kit includes pre-sorted supplies, ample thread, and free additional floss if needed, ensuring a hassle-free stitching experience.
Enchanted Realms will be spread across 6 months, starting in January and finishing in June. To participate, simply tap here on Friday 1st December at 7pm (London time), and we'll take care of the rest.
Ordering a full kit? You will have the option of 14 or 16 count aida (we recommend 14 count for beginners), or a 32 count evenweave. The full kit contains all of the pre-sorted supplies needed to create this magnificent needlework project.
We make sure to include generous lengths of thread (allowing lots of room for happy accidents!), and in the unlikely scenario that you do run out, we'll send you additional floss for free.
If you choose PDF patterns only, we'll provide everything you need to know (fabric colour, size, and thread lengths and colours) so that you can use items from your stash, or take a trip to your local craft store and source the supplies yourself.
The price includes all 6 pattern pieces! As it's counted cross stitch, there's no printing on the fabric, and it's really easy to personalise the design if you wish.
We design all of our patterns with beginners in mind, including our SALs! The Enchanted Realms SAL does not include any difficult back stitch or French knots, and it is absolutely suitable for beginners.
Need some support? We have tutorials for anything and everything cross stitch related on our YouTube channel, and our friendly customer service team are available Monday-Friday 9-4pm (London time).
If you're an advanced stitcher, Enchanted Realms will be a relaxing, meditative break between your larger cross stitch projects. There are some wonderful little surprises in the design to keep you interested.
We'll send a NEW pattern piece (to the email address you signed up to the SAL with) once a month, for 6 months, starting in January and ending in June. That's your stitching for the first half of 2024 sorted! We will supply really clear patterns in both colour and black and white to suit all preferences.
The first pattern piece will be delivered to your email inbox on January 25th at midday, with the rest to follow in subsequent months. Once you have received part one, you can start your project (stitching at your own pace), and sharing your progress and joy with our fabulous Facebook community.
Once it's complete, there are so many wonderful ways you can finish your project! Have a go at framing, mounting, or creating a cushion or wall-hanging, or use a backing board and decorate your home, or gift it to a fantasy-loving friend - I truly believe the most special gifts are handmade. We have lots of easy-to-follow finishing tutorials and inspiration on our YouTube channel.
Don't forget to share a photo of the finished project with the community! The team especially love celebrating your hard-work and acknowledging your collective achievement.
