As the end of 2017 draws near, I wanted to take a moment to look back on this past year and thank you all for your continued support whether you've bought a kit, PDF pattern, joined a stitch-a-long or simply watched one of our YouTube videos.
This year has seen the launch of my first ever SAL 'Happiness is Homemade' launched with the fantastic help of Emma Buckland from Cross Stitch Crazee and from August, the second SAL 'Dash Away' which saw even more of you join in from all over the world to stitch our reindeer typography.
Many hours of planning and designing the 3rd SAL 'Enjoy the Ride' to start in January 2018 and planning of the 4th SAL coming later in the year (watch this space!) I can't count how many metres of DMC thread I've carefully looped onto hundreds of 'Carlos' (I think we'll go with that name for now shall we?!) caterpillar thread holders and how many metres of Zweigart fabric I've sliced into neat little bundles to ship off. Over 3,000 of you joined us on Facebook and over 1,000 in the dedicated SAL group alone.
I've posted 39 variations of kits to 14 countries. Thousands of coffees drunk by me and 3 chocolate oranges eaten in December alone. One incredibly supportive and patient husband who has made dinner nearly every night while I have been designing, stitching and packing kits. Two ever curious children as to what Mummy actually does in her 'work room' especially a very grown up little girl who can't wait to get stitching!
2018 will see the launch of a range of cross stitch kits for children, a whole host of new kits and patterns, new flosstube videos, exciting collaborations and our first range of enamel needle minders. I am constantly humbled by the amazing feedback and comments from you all. Its lovely to have such wonderful stitchers in this community and know that I can add a little bit of fun and happiness through these tiny Xs I call my passion and job.
I will be taking a break 23rd - 29th December and kits will next be posted on 2nd January 2018. Happy Christmas everyone and have the most wonderful new year - see you on the other side!
