If you're not sharing your cross stitch WIPs (works in progress) over on Instagram, where have you been?! Insta is the place to be these days for craft lovers alike where you can find a huge selection of stitching inspiration, connections and beautiful work to drool over.
I've been on Instagram for a number of years now but I've only really gotten into it over the last 2 years in particular and its definitely one of my favourite social media platforms. The people are generally super cool and supportive and there's so much awesome content uploaded daily, its hard to tear myself away!
Its a fantastic way to find new stitchers to follow, make friends, learn some new tricks, get ideas for your next project and even shop for supplies. Watching Stories and IGTV are also great ways to get to know people behind the screen and see little glimpses into their lives (without sounding like a complete stalker!)
The best way to get going and to find some amazing accounts to follow, is by using the relevant hashtags. These tags describe the content and some have over a million images assigned to them for you to scroll through at your leisure!
After 5 years on the platform uploading cross stitch and crafty images daily, I've amassed tons of hashtags you can use too. Its worth mentioning you can only use a maximum of 30 hashtags per Instagram post so choose the ones that best describe your image. Here we go!
