This butterfly cross stitch pattern 'Fly Away' uses just 10 gorgeous DMC thread shades and measures 7 x 6 inches when stitched on 14 count aida fabric. The stitch count is 95 x 84 but you could always just stitch one or two pretty butterflies (your favourite colours and patterns). And it doesn't have to be framed, these beauties could be on greetings cards, bags, aprons or cushions!
The VIP Stitch Club isn't just a newsletter, oh no! There's special offers, new product launches, stitch-a-longs, behind the scenes shots, sneak peeks of new projects, free patterns, discount codes, vlogs, video tutorials and other fun stuff including our Stitcher of the Month competition to win a £20 voucher.
I asked in our special Facebook group (if you're not in that gang, please join HERE) what type of pattern you'd like to see me add next to the eBook and so many of you said animals and in particular, butterflies! So here's your bright, modern butterfly cross stitch pattern!
Being crafters, we're constantly searching for the next project to satisfy our creative needs. But have you ever stopped and wondered when and how the craft we all love so much began? Elements of cross stitch can be found in history for thousands of years, as far back as sixth century BC. Pieces of needlecraft art have been discovered in medieval churches across the globe, as well as inside ancient Egyptian tombs!
Our splash-tastic Ocean Wonder box comes with all of the fantastic quality supplies needed to create a cross stitch project, along with a 6" Elbesee wooden hoop, a delicious sweet treat and useful cross stitch supplies.
When it comes to cross stitching, there are just two types you will come across: stamped cross stitch and counted cross stitch. The two have similar outputs, but the process will differ in some ways. It can be difficult to know which option to choose, so use this helpful guide to help decide which is best for you!
