Yes, it absolutely does! We design our Caterpillar Club subscription boxes so that you can start stitching the moment it lands on your doormat.

Each bi-monthly box is a complete "project-in-a-box" and includes:

• An Exclusive Kit: A themed cross stitch design that isn't available anywhere else.
• High-Quality Fabric: Pre-cut Zweigart 14-count Aida fabric.
• DMC Threads: All the pre-sorted genuine DMC stranded cotton you'll need.
• Needle: A tapestry needle tucked safely inside.
• Pattern & Instructions: A clear, full-colour printed pattern and easy-to-follow guide.
• Extra Treats: On top of the kit, we always tuck in 3–4 extra goodies—these are often a mix of stitching accessories (like an exclusive needle minder) and lifestyle treats (like related stationery items or sweet treats).

Although some of our boxes feature a hoop, these are not always supplied, so be sure to check what your box contains in the product description if you prefer to finish your project off with a hoop! The only other thing you might want to have on hand is a pair of scissors.

Yes! Many of our customers are first-time stitchers. Our kits include simple, step-by-step instructions, and you’ll have access to our friendly community if you ever need extra support. Look out for the products with a beginner badge!

We also have a specific "Beginner Kits" category. These designs typically fit in a 6 or 7inch hoop and use fewer colours, making them perfect for your first project.

At Caterpillar Cross Stitch, we offer two different ways to stay creative all year round: our bi-monthly Caterpillar Club box and our annual All-Star Membership. Here is a quick breakdown of how they both work:

Caterpillar Club Subscription (Bi-monthly or Annual plan)

This is a physical box of goodies delivered to your door every two months.

• How it works: You’ll receive an exclusive cross stitch kit (not available anywhere else), plus 3–4 extra lifestyle treats like needle minders, accessories, or even something sweet.
• Frequency: Boxes are shipped every two months (February, April, June, August, October, and December).
• Payment: On the bi-monthly plan, you are charged every two months on the date you first subscribed. Or commit to a pre-paid 12-month subscription (6 boxes total) to enjoy a 15% discount.
• Flexibility: You're always in control and can cancel your subscription at any time under 'Manage subscriptions' in your account. If you cancel your subscription, no further payments will be processed and you will just receive any boxes you have already paid for. On the bi-monthly plan you can also choose to skip an upcoming box if you do not want to receive this.

All-Star Membership

This is our VIP club for stitchers who want exclusive perks throughout the entire year.

• How it works: For a one-off annual fee (currently £49), you get a year-long VIP experience. This includes 4 exclusive PDF patterns, a members-only needle minder, a £10 voucher, a 10% discount on eligible products in the shop all year, and many more!
• Payment: This is an annual subscription. You are charged once when you join, and your membership will automatically renew 12 months later unless you choose to cancel.
• Joining Window: Please note that enrolment for the membership is only open for a limited time each year. 2026 All-Star Stitchers Membership places are now closed. Click 'Notify me' if you would like to be informed as soon as the 2027 All-Star Stitchers Membership becomes available later this year.

Yes, we ship worldwide from our UK HQ! Shipping rates will be calculated automatically at checkout once you input your shipping address.

Delivery times vary depending on the destination country, but we always recommend opting for tracked shipping so that you can monitor the progress of your order.

US import charge is calculated and added to your order as part of your purchase. But customers based elsewhere are responsible for any customs or import taxes that may apply in their country. We do not have any control over delays due to items being held by customs in other countries.

It depends on the size of the design and how much time you spend stitching, but most kits take anywhere from a few evenings to a couple of weeks. We always try to balance detail with enjoyment.
