I always remembered that chap, Tom Katsumi who live cross stitched the election results in 2015 and loved following it at the time. So, when I started to get excited about the Olympics this year, I thought I'd live cross stitch the Team GB medals as they rolled in!
Named after my beautiful niece, the new Monogram Grace Wreath kits are here! Available in any letter of the alphabet, these 7 x 7 inch kits are perfect for a baby's nursery, a wedding present or for your own wall!
I thought I'd break away from the alphabet-related theme for a moment and design this little chap I've called "Early Bird". I don't tend to design a great deal of animal/nature style patterns (although watch out for our next cross stitch kit which does include a rather wise owl) but I really enjoyed putting these DMC shades together and adding the cherry blossom as a finishing touch.
Thanks for visiting the brand new Caterpillar Cross Stitch website!
We're very excited to be introducing our new alphabet cross stitch kit collection - "Now I Know My ABCs", to celebrate the birth, christening or other special day for your little one. If you're new to cross stitch, please check out our "How To" page for tips.
I often pick up inspiration even when I'm not looking for it. A colourful pattern in tiles outside, paintings, fashion or interior design. Sometimes the initial stages flow quite easily and ideas for a new pattern seem to come together quickly, then othertimes, I suffer with a creative block as many do!
You might think that creating a beautiful piece of art with our kits is a good enough reason but there's more...the process of cross stitch is also really good for you! It helps you wind down after a busy and stressful day, creates a relaxing atmosphere and focusses the mind.
It goes without saying that I've always loved crafts of any sort and in particular, cross stitch. One Christmas, a long long time ago, I decided to stitch my sisters a different poem each and have it framed (please ignore the paper mount!) Here's the one I stitched for my sister Rosie which currently takes pride of place in her downstairs toilet!
