TEAM GB AT RIO 2016!

I always remembered that chap, Tom Katsumi who live cross stitched the election results in 2015 (here's the full story) and loved following it at the time. So, when I started to get excited about the Olympics this year, I thought I'd begin a fun little project live cross stitching the Team GB medals as they rolled in!

Little did I know, there would be so many and such a flurry on some days! I knew of the most famous Team GB members beforehand but it was great to follow some of the lesser known talents and hand stitch every little 'medal' which represented so much dedictaiton and hard work.

I'm now inspired to get cycling, rowing and trampolining (when the time allows!) A massive well done to the whole team on such a huge achievement with a whopping 67 medals in total (27 gold, 23 silver and 17 bronze).

Bring on Tokyo 2020! If you'd like to see the whole progression, please follow us on Instagram here.
