Christmas is by far my favourite time of year - although, doesn't everyone say that?! Fires, mulled wine, Michael Buble on repeat, pantos and the non-stop eating, its basically my idea of heaven. Last year, I designed 'Dash Away' our reindeer themed Christmas SAL, which proved really popular with you guys.
So this year, I've combined the most popular responses to my request for Christmas themes (Christmas tree, the 12 days of Christmas and typography) to bring you this bright, festive, cheery Christmas SAL! The '12 Days of Stitchmas' is a 12 week project where one small pattern piece is emailed or posted out once every fortnight!
You can choose from PDF patterns only (where you source your own kit materials), hard copies only (where you are posted a professionally printed full colour pattern each month) or kit options with a variety of beautiful Zweigart fabrics in crisp Winter snow white. If you're new to cross stitch or you've never taken part in a SAL before, here's all you need to know!
1. Its so much fun! The feedback from stitchers is amazing and I've yet to meet someone who doesn't love making new friends, posting images of their work or getting that little surprise when each new part arrives!
2. Its not overwhelming at all for a beginner as you're only facing stitching a small part at a time. And there's absolutely no rush to keep up if life gets in the way! Many stitchers keep up while others take a break or work on other projects and catch up further down the line.
3. Its so satisfying! Its different to your day job, looking after the kids or doing jobs around the house. This is time out for you. Peace at the end of a stressful day and a chance to really zone-out! When you start off small but after a while see you've actually stitched a beautiful section that's appeared out of nowhere, it gives such a sense of achievement that money can't buy!
We also have a special hard enamel 'Stitchmas' needle minder to complement this SAL. It has two super strong N52 magnets on the back so it stays in place on your fabric and that needle ain't going anywhere! These little delights come presented on backing card and were designed using the same colours as the Stitch-a-Long DMC threads.
Why not join over 1.7K stitchers from all over the world in our dedicated Facebook group HERE. We share WIPs and tips daily, chat and support.
The SAL starts on 14th September and the final part is released on 23rd November 2018 just in time to finish off and display in your own home for Christmas or give as a gift! Click HERE to find out more.

Crafting isn’t just about making something beautiful (although that certainly is a huge advantage!), it’s also about finding something that makes you happy, calms your mind and brings you a sense of enjoyment and accomplishment.
For neurodiverse people, crafts can offer amazing benefits, from improved focus and confidence to reduced stress and anxiety.
